Mistral AI, a French company that develops foundational large language models and is considered one of France’s most promising tech startups, is announcing a strategic collaboration with the Greek government to launch a dedicated talent accelerator pipeline. This initiative aims to foster the next generation of AI leaders in Greece and across Europe, bridging the gap between academic excellence and real-world AI innovation. Greece is home to a vibrant community of talented graduates and researchers, and this partnership is a natural step to further support and grow that potential.
Mistral AI and the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece’s top technological institution known for its rigorous engineering programs and groundbreaking research, will work together to foster further collaboration to:
- Offer Greek students and professionals access to hands-on AI training and career development opportunities.
- Connect local talent with Mistral’s international teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to Greece’s growing role in the European AI landscape by investing in its people and ideas.
Within this framework, Mistral AI and NTUA invite students and recent graduates to express their interest in the Future AI Global Leaders Program.
This initiative aims to identify and support talented candidates in Artificial Intelligence through a selective training and professional development program, including a three-month training period in Paris.
Program Overview
Selected candidates will:
- Participate in an intensive three-month training program in Paris, focused on advanced AI topics and hands-on experience.
- Be exposed to cutting-edge research and industrial practices in Artificial Intelligence.
- Join an international cohort of highly qualified AI professionals.

Online Workshop: Introducing Mistral & Opportunities for NTUA Students (16:00–17:00 EET)
NTUA and Mistral AI will organize an online information workshop to present the program, eligibility criteria, and application process. The workshop will be held online on Thursday 29 January 2026 16:00 EET.

Track Descriptions
There are two main tracks:
Applied AI & Engineering Track
A one-year program for recent graduates (≤2 years of experience) focused on mastering AI and bridging research, engineering, and real-world impact. Participants rotate through hands-on projects spanning AI development, deployment, and customer engagement, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of cutting-edge solutions. Designed for ambitious graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs, the program offers mentorship from industry leaders, diverse rotations, and collaboration with a global cohort of top talent to tackle frontier AI challenges.

Applied Science Track
A one-year global program for recent PhD graduates, focused on applying cutting-edge AI research to real-world problems. Participants rotate through hands-on projects across multiple offices, developing state-of-the-art models in text, image, and speech, and applying them to domains such as physical AI, time series, materials science, and cybersecurity. The program offers mentorship, cross-domain exposure, and collaboration with a global cohort of innovators, bridging research and practical impact.
