Prof. Kostas Karpouzis (Dipl. Ing, MA, Ph.D., SMIEEE) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, Panteion University. His research interests include artificial intelligence and AI ethics, affective computing, intelligent systems and artificial intelligence, and serious games. He has worked on the Siren and Navigo games, which won the Best Serious Game in Europe award from the Serious Games Society in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He is a 3x TEDx speaker, the chairman of the board for the Hellenic Association of Computer Engineers, and a member of the board of the gi-cluster of gaming companies and research organizations.
